Origins of two nations theory - An Evidence Based Analysis.

1. It is generally believed that the movement for Muslim self-awakening and identity was started by  Ahmad Sirhindi  (1564–1624), who fought against emperor Akbar's religious syncretist  Din-i Ilahi  movement and is thus considered "for contemporary official Pakistani historians" to be the founder of the Two-nation theory. Source:-( Arthur Buehler, "Ahmad Sirhindī: Nationalist Hero, Good Sufi, or Bad Sufi?" in Clinton Bennett, Charles M. Ramsey (ed.),  South Asian Sufis: Devotion, Deviation, and Destiny , A&C Black (2012), p. 143). 2.  It was particularly intensified under the Muslim reformer  Shah Waliullah  (1703-1762) who, because he wanted to give back to Muslims their self-consciousness during the decline of the  Mughal empire  and the rise of the non-Muslim powers like the  Marathas ,  Jats  and  Sikhs , launched a mass-movement of the religious education which made "them conscious of their distinct nation...

Mansoor-Al-Hallaj :- Sufi Mystic with the philosophy of Ann-Al-Haq

Holy Quran is a unalterable and rigid Masterpiece of literature (according to its followers) among a very few other religious books. Muslims strongly believe it to be the final words directly  from  mouth of God. So those who try  to  oversimplify it or provide an alternate direction to the Holy Faith are often met with dire consequences. Mansoor was no different, He was a great scholar and a sufi mystic who toured the world and stayed in India for a considerable duration and studied diverse religious philosophies. The Vedas and Upanishads inspired him a lot and the in churning process he came out with a unique philosophical concept of "An-Al-Haq". An -Al-Haq ( I’m God, I'm supreme soul, I'm the truth) similar to an Upnishad couplet we are all acquainted with- अहं ब्रह्मास्मि. Now in a liberal society like India if someone declares “I am God and I am an apogee of the supreme soul, I am the final truth” nobody will Pay any heed becaus...
