Mansoor-Al-Hallaj :- Sufi Mystic with the philosophy of Ann-Al-Haq

Holy Quran is a unalterable and rigid Masterpiece of literature (according to its followers) among a very few other religious books.

Muslims strongly believe it to be the final words directly  from  mouth of God.

So those who try  to  oversimplify it or provide an alternate direction to the Holy Faith are often met with dire consequences.

Mansoor was no different, He was a great scholar and a sufi mystic who toured the world and stayed in India for a considerable duration and studied diverse religious philosophies.

The Vedas and Upanishads inspired him a lot and the in churning process he came out with a unique philosophical concept of "An-Al-Haq".

An-Al-Haq (I’m God, I'm supreme soul, I'm the truth) similar to an Upnishad couplet we are all acquainted with-

Now in a liberal society like India if someone declares “I am God and I am an apogee of the supreme soul, I am the final truth” nobody will Pay any heed because our religion permits  of permits interpretations which are positive in nature and individual ideals concerning religion are never questioned.

Mansoor himself was also acquainted with this fact that his idea will not be taken positively in an 8th century’s Islamic Persia so before making it public he tried to discuss it with his spiritual teacher Junaid.

His master Junaid was a learned man but also a pragmatic one, he said “do you seriously think we have never come across such internal feelings of bliss, but dear Mansoor,   islam is not prepared to digest such revolutionary thoughts so please keep it in your heart, Otherwise you might get killed.”

Mansoor‘s reply was epic he said “I am ashamed that my master, who claims that he has The path to enlightenment but doesn’t share with others as he is terrified by execution.

Mansoor left.

He made his idea of enlightenment public and was immediately arrested on the charges of blasphemy and was given a classic punishment for not obeying Quran, the infamous 'stoning by public'.

King ordered Junaid to Disown Al-Hallaj And he did accordingly

During his prison days the guards asked him to remove his robe to bathe him before the procession, upon hearing this, his cheerful face turned pale, when the guard asked "oh brave Hallaj don't show cowardice and bring shame on your creed".

Mansoor replied ignoring the guard's question" a family of scorpion resides in my robe and feeds on my blood, if you'll separate me from them they will be left homeless and food-less",

On His last day on earth, Huge gathering of commoners was summoned on orders of king to stone him,he was tied on a upraised platform, and the ceremony was started, he faced all the stones with a graceful smile but tears rolled down his cheeks when a flower was thrown towards him by his beloved teacher Junaid.

When asked, why,  he said “those throwing stones are not aware but the thrower of this flower is very well acquainted with Ann-Al-Haq.

His limbs were chopped off, eyes were pierced through, his tongue was slashed out and He was left alive to die a slow an painful death.

Origins of two nations theory - An Evidence Based Analysis.

1. It is generally believed that the movement for Muslim self-awakening and identity was started by  Ahmad Sirhindi  (1564–1624), who fought against emperor Akbar's religious syncretist  Din-i Ilahi  movement and is thus considered "for contemporary official Pakistani historians" to be the founder of the Two-nation theory. Ramsey (ed.),  South Asian Sufis: Devotion, Deviation, and Destiny , A&C Black (2012), p. 143). 2.  It was particularly intensified under the Muslim reformer  Shah Waliullah  (1703-1762) who, because he wanted to give back to Muslims their self-consciousness during the decline of the  Mughal empire  and the rise of the non-Muslim powers like the  Marathas ,  Jats  and  Sikhs , launched a mass-movement of the religious education which made "them conscious of their distinct nation...
